Rental Agreement & Terms of Service

By reserving, renting, or using Tote Boss equipment and services, you agree to the following Terms of Service.

1. Overview

Tote Boss provides reusable moving tote rentals and related delivery and pickup services within Centre County, Pennsylvania and surrounding areas.

All totes remain the sole property of Tote Boss at all times. Customers are renting the use of the totes for a specified rental period and do not obtain ownership rights.

Tote Boss does not provide packing, moving, loading, unloading, or transportation services. Customers are solely responsible for packing, handling, transporting, and unpacking their belongings.

 

2. Rental Packages

The Tote Boss rental package includes:

  • Reusable moving totes and label cards
  • One-week rental period
  • Billing will reoccur every week thereafter unless other agreement has been made
  • Delivery and pickup within eligible service areas

Additional totes may be rented for $15.00 for each tote per week.

Dollies can be rented for $50 per week.

Dollies and Extra Totes cannot be delivered separately.  They are delivered with one of the tote packages.

Rental periods may be extended subject to availability and additional charges.

3. Service Area

Free delivery and pickup are available within Centre County, Pennsylvania.

Locations outside Centre County may be serviced at Tote Boss's discretion and are subject to a delivery fee of $5.00 per mile.

 

4. Reservations & Payment

Full payment is required to reserve equipment.

Reservations are subject to tote availability.

Submitting a reservation request does not guarantee availability until confirmed by Tote Boss.

Tote Boss accepts major credit and debit cards.

 

5. Delivery & Pickup

Tote Boss is a delivery-only service.

Customers must be available during the scheduled delivery and pickup windows.

Tote Boss reserves the right to adjust delivery or pickup times due to weather, traffic, emergencies, or circumstances beyond our control.

 

6. Rental Extensions

Need more time? No problem.

Rental extensions are available based on tote availability.

Extensions are generally billed by the week but may be negotiated on a daily basis.

Customers should contact Tote Boss as soon as possible if additional time is needed.

 

7. Cancellations & Refunds

Reservations canceled more than 48 hours before the scheduled delivery date will receive a full refund.

Reservations canceled within 48 hours of the scheduled delivery date are subject to a $50.00 restocking fee.

No refunds will be issued after totes have been delivered.

 

8. Tote Care & Use

Customers agree to:

  • Keep totes in a safe location.
  • Protect totes from theft, loss, excessive damage, and misuse.
  • Return all totes at the end of the rental period.

Customers may use:

  • Tote Boss provided reusable labels.
  • Non-stick removable labels.
  • Painter's tape.

Customers may NOT use:

  • Packaging tape.
  • Duct tape.
  • Permanent adhesives.
  • Permanent markers directly on totes.
  • Any label or material that leaves residue.

 

9. Lost or Damaged Totes

Customers are responsible for all totes during the rental period.

Replacement cost for lost, stolen, destroyed, or excessively damaged totes is:

$85.00 per tote

Tote Boss reserves the right to charge the payment method on file for replacement costs and any unpaid rental fees.

 

10. Late Returns

Customers who fail to return totes at the end of the rental period may be charged additional rental fees.

If Tote Boss is unable to recover totes after reasonable attempts, replacement charges may be assessed.

 

11. Safety

For safety purposes:

  • Totes should not be stacked more than four (4) high when loaded.
  • Totes should not exceed 50 pounds per tote.
  • Children should not play in or on totes.
  • Customers assume responsibility for proper lifting, carrying, loading, and stacking practices.

 

12. Limitation of Liability

Customers use Tote Boss equipment at their own risk.

Tote Boss is not responsible for:

  • Personal injury.
  • Property damage.
  • Damage to contents stored in totes.
  • Delays caused by weather, traffic, or circumstances beyond our control.

To the fullest extent permitted by Pennsylvania law, Tote Boss's liability shall be limited to the amount paid by the customer for the rental.

 

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located within Pennsylvania.

 

14. Changes to Terms

Tote Boss reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of Tote Boss services constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.

By placing a reservation, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service.
